ABOUT
JH Coaches are part of the Coach1 Group, sister company to DC Travel based in Durham and Thirlwell’s Coaches based in Tyneside. This collaboration brings together decades of knowledge and experience. The group was originally formed by the Shipley family in 2012 and shares common Directors in each company.
JH Coaches were purchased by the Shipley Family (previous owners of Classic Coaches) around 2012 and immediately rebranded the business. The striking gold livery was soon rolled out. This new look instantly became a hit with the customers with the gold image intentionally designed to be synonymous with quality. JH Coaches relocated to their current Birtley site in 2014 and since then the business has grown from strength to strength with the fleet increasing to almost 50 vehicles. With no less than nine brand new coaches added to the fleet in recent years JH Coaches has quickly established itself as one of the leading coach companies in the area.
